Fan Xpert software - how to set max limits for fans?

Hi,

I have a Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme CPU cooler and the max fan speed is not tolerable. I need to limit the max fan speed at 1500 or something, so that it never exceeds that value even at higher temps.

Something like the following image.

Is that possible?

How do I add new control points to the curve? Can you do that as well?

I see there is fan control options in bios as well. do I have do something from there as well?

Run the Fan Xpert II tuning tool and then adjust the curve so that the top speed of the fan is not reached until the temp gets to XX. Should be slef explanatory if you run the tool, click on the tab for the fan and take it from there. If its a PWM fan, then you won't need to make any UEFI changes on the CPU Fan header. If its a DC fan on the CPU header, then set the fan control option on that header to advanced before you run Fan Xpert 2.
