Fan Headers with CPU water cooler/rad

Alright so I was just wondering what headers most of you plugged your fans into to have the most control. I have a Corsair H100i with the ran mounted at the top of the case, with an exhaust fan at the back, and two intake fans at the front. As of right now, I have the rad fans both plugged into the CPU_OPT header, with the pump plugged into the CPU_FAN header. I've been doing some overclocking and realized that my temps rose really quickly and so I tried to look at fan speeds but realized that I can't see anything in AI suite. I know that Corsair has it's own link program for the H100i but it has problems running along side the Ai suite so I uninstalled it. Could anybody help? I'm using a VII Formula

Have you run the fan tuning utility in ai suite? You will need to do this for ai suite to recognize your fans.
