Is their many difference in the BIOS OC options between the Maximus, Extreme, Formula and Gene ?

Yes, extra voltage and skew options on the Extreme and Formula. IMC-DRAM Offset being one of them. Gene and Formula are also 6 layer PCB. Extreme is 8 layer - clocks some of the older memory modules like PSC better. That all being said, for 24/7 OC, you won't notice much difference.

wow , exactly what I want to know, as I was looking for a Formula. All true the Gene may do the job as it's only for CPU benching , I don't care about how many GPU it will handle. I want to try different cooling solution, do you think I'm better with a Sandy ?

( for real experiment with cooling solution I have a i7-965 EE CO, this is a real heater )
