So found the issue, the red box with the slide cross for the x16 pci labeled 1-4 was turned off, not ON.

should this be turned ON? or OFF?

since doing so the system fan no longer runs ill have to check in bios.

Code 34 is the code the board sits on when stopped off in BIOS....if you see this code but no display investigate your GPU the PCIe lane switches the cable to the monitor or the monitor itself.

The PCIe lane switches have to be on for any GPU you have. If in lane 1 then switch on lane 1. Lane 2 PCIe switch controls both red and black slots 2A and 2B

32gb gskill 2133
Gigabyte 780
Intel 520ssd raid 0 120gbx2
1000watt corsair psu
Antec 920 cooler
That's all that's plugged in

So looks to be all working accept the PCH fan no longer runs since turning on the pcix16 slots on

Checked all the bios settings looks to be normal.

Anything else I can check

Can't remember my last board it has been a few months but the code is still stuck on AA now and were passed the 34 error code. Loaded into windows and everything seems fine.

AA is what it should stay on...means BIOS has handed over to your OS. 30 or 40 or something like that will show if it wakes from sleep.

What BIOS are you on? If the latest go into BIOS and set the PCH fan to user mode 40 degrees and whatever the max is 60/65 and the PCH fan should spin up....

You have to remember these are not error codes they are post codes...they just show where the BIOS is during the post process....if you get stuck on one, that helps you know where the boot process stopped so helping pinpoint what is the cause...
