Downgrading a BIOS on a Maximus Impact VII?

Anybody wanna explain how i rollback the ROG BIOS?

None of the methods that i can find allow me to go backwards. (although none of them are as kind as to come straight out and say thats why i cant use the .CAP file I choose either).

The latest BIOS version ****ed up the AHCI driver as it applies to my dual booting Hackintosh. Not a typical use case scenario I'll grant you, but when I pay for one of, if not the most expensive m-itx motherboard on the planet I dont expect to have to use a DOS utility (the only option I havent tried) to do something as simple as rollback a BIOS to the last usable version.

I really hope there's something I'm missing.

Use the usb flashback method if the other two fail. I've never tried to go backwards with them but the flashback method has been reported to work every time.

Hey! it worked! Thanks. I didn't realize the default name on the USB Flashback method wasn't recognized and it had to be changed.

Thanks so much. Reading my post, man do I sound like a grouch. Apologies. I was pretty pissed off at 2 a.m. having spent my saturday night trying to fix my rig...

I know the problem is solved but just to let you know i had never problems downgrading using Ez Flash. Just put the bios file on the Usb and flash using Ez Flash.
