Double start from Coldsart?

Hey all just wondering about the double start i get after being disconnected from the mains overnight, I shut it all down at nights, Pressing the power button in the morning the PC will start then shut down, start again then shut down start again and its into Windows. Is this normal behavior? Thanks

Yes, that's normal. The board is making sure it is reset after complete power drain....

Thanks Arne for putting my mind at rest:) Already on my second board had the code 00 and boot loop which killed the cpu as well so just a wee bit paranoid.

Uff I see where you are coming from! It is not a well publicised behaviour and can give you room to doubt especially if things have gone wrong before! Hope all is sorted now and you can enjoy your rig! 😄

When you remove the power from your system you effectively cause the BIOS to have to retrain the memory on power up. This requires the system to do the double start you have noted.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I did a double take!

But it's true, HiViz is back...very happy to see that! 🙂

I have the non-Black RIVE and it only does the double start when OC'ing higher than 4.3Ghz, as a result I keep my CPU running at 4.3Ghz to avoid the double start since I turn off the surge protector every night.

How does that impact surge protection - does it trip your unit or something else?
