Unless I'm missing something, I don't see how this can be used for 600 ohm headphones, when mine is far less than that. I have the volume on maxed out and it's still not loud enough at all. I've checked the realtek manager and see nothing to change any ohm settings or anything.

I have the xonar dg and was expecting similar performance. That thing gets loud and I only paid around $20 for it. I really wanted an all in one solution here.

Can anyone double check if the latest driver fix the missing features?

Hey Asus!

When will we see the fix for the Headphone Amp in the drivers. It's been a while now. Right now I have bought a product that does not live up to the advertised specs. The headphone amp, was the main reason for me to purchase this motherboard.

The missing option will be addressed in the next driver release. Don't have an ETA, but HQ are working on it with Realtek.

Thats 3 months ago, and nothing has been fixed yet. RAJA, any comments?

Seconded, please let us know what (if anything) is being done to solve the headphone amp issue and when can we expect fixed drivers...

I found how to enable Amplify Mode. AC97 must be selected in options. Really though, it should work with the HD front panel audio option. Must be a bug in driver.

Also note how the icon changes to headphones when you enable AC97. This is regardless of what option is selected for that port (headphone or speaker).

It does cause the amplify option to appear, but it still does nothing. Volume is the same on each of the three gain presets.

No updates from HQ "yet". Just pinged them again about this.

Please continue "pinging" HQ now and then, so that they won't be in any doubt about many users actually have a real and sincerely problem here.

HQ knows. I suggest you "ping" your local service department as well (there are no reps from Poland, Netherlands or Holland here). You would be best advised to send in your reports via service as well, so that HQ gets feedback from more regions than North America (I don't cover support for any other region).
