Disable iGPU Maximus V Extreme + 3770k

does anyone know how to disable the iGPU in the Maximus V extreme bios? I cannot seem to find the option for that. If I load optimized defaults, it seems to disable the iGPU totally, and it cannot be viewed in windows task manager.

But if I use my overclocked settings, I have to disable the iGPU in windows task manager or else my system will lock up. (Causing me to need to boot into safe mode and disable it)

Do you know how to manually disable the Hd4000 iGPU in the bios?

Hi Bad S3kt0r

Go into the bios, Advanced tab, System Agent Configuration, Graphics Configuration and set primary display to PCIE, disable anything you see for the iGPU.

Setting the primary display to PCIE should disable the iGPU.

Do you have the latest bios ?

Do you have only 1 monitor cable connected to your PCIE gpu and none connected to the motherboard ?

If you have the Intel graphics driver installed, uninstall it.

Not true. For whatever reason when Windows finds the iGPU it installs drivers which basically freezes the system. The only way to fix it is to disable it via Windows. Which you can't do if Windows updates and starts it all over.
