Hello, I think I have a unique problem as I cant find any solutions to my problem online.
For little of a year I have used 16gb (4x4gb) Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 (CMD16GX3M4A2133C9). I had them installed in the red slots and all were detected by the bios and OS and worked perfectly fine without any stability issues what so ever. Few weeks ago, my 3970x IMC took a crap on me while gaming (Dram LED was always on and would never post, code 67). Replaced the CPU with the same exact chip. PC now posts, boots, and works good again but not the same as before....
With the same RAM Ive been using installed, BIOS are not detecting them at dimm slots C1 and D1 but are detected in B1 and A1. Ive tried each stick 1 at a time in dimm slot B1 and A1 and they all boot and work. If I try to use just a single stick (I tried each one at a time) in slot C1 or D1, I got post beeping for no ram installed. If I try to use both C1 and D1same thing. No ram detected beeping. Ive tried X.M.P profile. Ive tried 1333 default profile. Ive tried the go button. The bios is not detecting the Corsair ram in those particular dimm slots any more. Here's more to the mystery.
Ive bought some cheap PNY ram and Crucial RAM for testing. Both rated 1333. Bios detects the RAM in C1 and D1. I can post and boot no problem if I have B1 and A1 using the Corsair RAM and C1 and D1 installed using the other 2 brands I have. Now lets say I have B1, A1 and C1 installed with Corsair RAM and D1 installed with either the Crucial RAM or PNY RAM, bios wont detect anything installed on C1 or D1. Hope Im making sense here. Basically if I try to use the Corsair RAM on either C1 or D1, the whole right side of Dimm slots stop being recognized.
Any ideas?? 😞
