CSM (Compatibility Support Module) resets to enable / can't disable it

I have windows installed on my SSD in UEFI mode but I can't disable my CSM.
When I reboot it goes back to enabled automatically and this is driving me insane.
I also have an external HDD (USB) that takes time to initialize and makes my POST last a long time and I want to tell the bios to ignore it and let windows handle it, but i dunno how to do this.

thanks in advance ;3

Hi!

Have your read this manual: (?)
http://rog.asus.com/220572013/rampage-motherboards/rampage-iv-uefi-boot-installation-guide-on-window...

Hope this helps.
Computer hardware:
4790K - Intel | VII HERO - Asus | Main Disk: 250 GB SSD - Samsung 840 Evo |
16 GB RAM (4x4) - Corsair Vengence (Low Profile) | Propellerhead Balance (External Audio-card) |
Corsair HS50 - Liquid CPU Cooler | 3x Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140 mm Fans |
2x Noctua NF-F12 PWM120 mm Fans | Windows 7 Pro x64 | NXZT H440 - Chassi |

yes I have and I dont see how it could solve my problem. In that guide it is said to disable it. I do it, it enables itself again.
and I also followed it while installing

reading that I can deduce that the problem could be the GPU.
I have a sapphire 7970 reference but there is the possibility that it is not native to UEFI which is weird.
I also have a soundcard... dunno if that could also be the cause.

Anyway I'm not sure there are UEFI bios flashes available for the 7970

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?32907-ASUS-UEFI-vBIOS-tool-for-Radeon-7000-series-cards!-It...

seems asus is aware of this...
but my card isn't asus it's sapphire what should I do?

#FIXED CSM NOT STAYING DISABLED
Ok so I ended up flashing my 7970 reference sapphire bios to an ASUS bios with UEFI support

asus bios acquired from this user on overclock.net http://www.overclock.net/t/1389206/do-you-want-uefi-gop-on-your-7950-7970-i-can-add-it-to-your-bios/...

CSM keeps itself disabled and fast boot with UEFI works much better now 😉
However I think sapphire is really behind since i had to flash my GPU with a bios of a different manufacturer! Guess i should've bought ASUS haha

so yeah to anyone having problems it's probably your GPU if you have UEFI windows 8 installation already!! check your manufacturer for UEFI bios updates!!

Awesome that it worked to fix the GPU Bios! Thnx for the update and information 🙂

I've always gone with the Asus cards because they keep their stuff up to date and have a good warranty!
Also it seems like they have the most "silent" cards right now 🙂
