Crosshair V HT Link

I can not change the HT Link speed from 2000. The BIOS lets me select a different speed but in windows 7 64 bit ROG CPU ID shows 2000. I can change the NB, CPU speed.

BIOS 38
4 gig Mushkin at 1600 7-9-7-24 T1 1.65 v

Can you post a screenshot showing the CPU, Mainboard and Memory tabs of CPU-Z? Also a screenshot of the Extreme Tweaker page of the UEFI showing your settings?

Do not know how to post screen shots. CPU Z just shows always shows a link sped of 2k. This is the first MB I have ever had that has done this. In a CH III With this CPU and memory I can run HB at 26K and HT 26K. Also in the BIOS I assume that HT Link speed is the only selection needed. This is odd it is the only option that does not work.

Works on the CPUs I have tried it with here (Thuban). What version of CPU-Z are you using?

ROG CPU Z 1.57.2 also AIDA 64 also AOD 4. Setting HT Link in the BIOS has no effect except it shows the value in the entry box. I have used AOD to set the Link speed and ran some tests and there was no real gain in performance.

The only noticable performance gain, and then it is slight, is when pushing high end video cards in SLI or Crossfire.
