Crosshair V Formular hard drive problem

Ok, so i got my new motherboard some few weeks ago, i installed it, no problems.
Then i booted my computer and it seems that the motherboard does a weird loop at the first second of the boot process, (it starts and turns on - within the first second i press the start button) I just want to know if that's normal :confused:

HERE COMES MY PROBLEM

Under Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installation i get to the part where i have to format and install windows, but when i try to format, nothing happens, and it seems that the whole thing just goes dead. If i wait long enough i get the error code 0x80070057 (WINDOWS CANNOT FORMAT THIS DISK) And then it disappears from the disk option menu. which results in my computer is useless. I changed it out with my old board (Crosshair IV Formular) and there was no problems, i have tried with 3 different drives All WD Caviar Black (500GB, 750GB, 1TB) but all does the same. Exept my Hitachi deskstar 3gbps hard drive works. Is it because the board doesn't support WD Hard Drives, or 6gbps ? I am so confused. The board have been sent to RMA and they found no errors and sent it back.. -.-

Thats how I switched out from C4E to the C5F... I just uninstalled all the software..(asus c4e..ect)
and it was a snap..the glitches were..1 stick of ram, set hd to ide.....these boards are great once
you get the right order of things.....

Okay so no response..

Raja: I tried everything you said. Nothing works. Even with everything on default.

Just bought a samsung f3 1TB it works, but it's only 3gbps. And is very slow. I want my WD Caviar Black to work! it was so much faster.
It seems to me that this board is a pice of SH** why have 6gbps sata ports when it can't run a 6gbps hard drive?

Well in my case it wont run a 3gBps either ... I guess your lucky you got that far .. I've yet to see the initial Win7 set up page. My new RMA'D board should be here in an hour or so ... Gritting my teeth with anticipation. I'm having serious withdrawl problems from COD4 and my shrink has a 100Ft no contact order out on me ..LOL just kidding

no there is no update for harddrives.
It is something with the board. the hard drive works with my old mobo, so im 100% sure that it has nothing to do with the hard drive..

how old is the drives?
i have had 6 month drives runing slower then a snail.
is there enny files on them or are they fully formated?
and you should put the sata on ahci and not IDE ( typos )

Thats Very Weird im running 2x WD Black Cav 500GB 6GB/s in Raid 0 no problem

Im not sure if this will help but on page 3-19 it says "you can only set SATA Port5 - Port6 to [IDE] if Port1 - Port4 is set to [IDE]"
