Crosshair V Formular hard drive problem

Ok, so i got my new motherboard some few weeks ago, i installed it, no problems.
Then i booted my computer and it seems that the motherboard does a weird loop at the first second of the boot process, (it starts and turns on - within the first second i press the start button) I just want to know if that's normal

HERE COMES MY PROBLEM

Under Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installation i get to the part where i have to format and install windows, but when i try to format, nothing happens, and it seems that the whole thing just goes dead. If i wait long enough i get the error code 0x80070057 (WINDOWS CANNOT FORMAT THIS DISK) And then it disappears from the disk option menu. which results in my computer is useless. I changed it out with my old board (Crosshair IV Formular) and there was no problems, i have tried with 3 different drives All WD Caviar Black (500GB, 750GB, 1TB) but all does the same. Exept my Hitachi deskstar 3gbps hard drive works. Is it because the board doesn't support WD Hard Drives, or 6gbps ? I am so confused. The board have been sent to RMA and they found no errors and sent it back.. -.-

No, it has nothing to do with it, but thanks anyway, yeah i know, it should be working, but it's an hardware failiure... It sucks that ASUS has such a BAD QUALITY
and no, it's not something im saying because im angry about it, no no, just look in this forum, there are so many problems with the crosshair V that you would think it was a joke. The only thing asus is good at, is making nice commercials. But at the end, it's not even worth packing out of the box. Im gonna buy me a gigabyte mobo instead, atleast they know what good quality means.

ASUS accept that you have failed, pull back the motherboard, give people their money back and make a new and better crosshair v formular. Say what you want but at the end we all know that being known for delivering some good quality stuff, is worth everything!

Oh man that sucks big time. Can you return the WD and try a different brand. All of us have our fav HDD brand and I must say WD is not one of mine any longer. I still have a couple of Raptors but since those days have not had any happy times with them.

Thanks for letting us know how it is going.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Thanks man, yeah it kind of suck.
But i might buy a new hard drive, it doesn't seem like people have the answer to my problem.

But keep coming with good ideas, it's better than nothing 🙂

I just found out that if i OC my northbridge to 2800mhz then it boots just as fast as it used to. The boot time apparently had nothing to do with the drives, just that i fogot to OC the NB.

It won't bother me anymore!

Thanks for the help guys, if anyone have a similar problem like mine, with the WD Caviar Black 500GB
SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 32MB Cache, 7200RPM, 3.5", Dual processor. Then i would like to hear from
you if you changed to another hard drive also with 6/gbps and if it works then!
