I have just finished a new build and have been trying to configure the latest Bios update. After checking it out and doing a little tweaking, when I rebooted after accepting the changes it came up a request to enter a DVD in the correct drive to continue.
I reboot and enter the BIOS to check my boot option and now the only drive it recognizes is my DRW drive. I'm not very familiar as yet with the BIOS so could some GURU please help?
Up to now I have reset to default with no change. I cant see anything in the Bios boot priority that will allow me to prioritize my SSD which has my OS installed and was originally setup to boot from. I also have a 2nd HDD which isn't recognized either. All drives were there and seen by the BIOS prior to the update, so yea WTF! The BIOS just dont see my drives anymore.:mad:

Connect a usb external HD to it and see if the BIOS sees that. If so that doesnt look goed, try reconnecting your HDD in your SATA port and see if that changes anything.

Well that's interesting and thanks for your response iman05. In updating the Bios all settings were set to default and the section regarding SATA connections had all switched to off. My doing as you suggested switching ports I tried but that didn't help so I started digging deeper into the BIOS and Voila tous bien.
