Hi there,
I Know that the question might be to soon to ask, but will the Crosshair V Formula-Z get drivers for Windows 10
when it's out? Because it seams that this Mainboard isn't supported anymore (no new drivers etc.).

The thing is, i bought this Mainboard about 2 Years and it wasn't cheap and i also wasn't planing on replacing it, just beacause it is not supported anymore.

It should, I dont see why not. The entire OS is built using previous drivers. Tech preview users like myself tries the best to assure everthing works well.

I have not used fan expert, but AI suite works just fine. I can overclock adjust digi vrm and all that. It worked from the first install.

My -Z board isn't working with windows 10 at all, its simply a mess. I had to do a clean install from Windows 7 Ultimate. The new OS (from Windows 10 ISO file and burned to DVD) Crashed the computer many times. The free install never worked BTW.

I must have reset (hard boot) the system 30+ times. The install disc that came with the -Z board will not work as 99% of the drivers and software states it will not function with Windows 10 and will not install.

The one driver from Asus that is available for Windows 10 is for the sound (on Aug 8, 2015) is not working as it puts Windows 10 in a loop. First it whats to uninstall the sound drivers; reboot. On reboot it install the 'New' drivers then needs to reboot.
On reboot with the 'New' drivers will prompt you, the systems needs to reboot as the drivers need to be uninstalled. This loop goes on and on...its a mess. That driver set is: Audio_Win7-8-81-10_V6017525.zip

it must just be you. windows 10 works FLAWLESS for me and the crosshair v formula-z. don't try to force any drivers that aren't auto installed except the asmedia drivers which are okay. it does work. and it works great. something was wrong with the way you were doing it.....

Ya right, my Crosshair V Formula-Z (FX9590) is substandard to your board. Please make sense. I worked 15 hours on Windows 10 release day and 13 hours the next day. Windows 10...WILL NOT WORK with this board. Maybe I could send it off to you and you can 'touch' it for me. We sure would appreciate the help.

I do see the CROSSBLADE RANGER board is listed as Window 10 ready but they didn't list it as such in the large list they have posted. I'm closing shop on the -Z board and moving to my Crossblade Ranger board. Should provide better results than the -Z board with Windows 10.

I've read more about the -Z board issues and I found one them. The memory on the board can run to 2400Mhz and it was, but also running at stock speed 4.7Mhz (FX9590). One of the many BSOD was related to memory ( Bug Check 0x101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT) so I dropped the memory to 1600Mhz and 99% of my issues stopped. The lockups pretty much stopped and windows 10 seems to be much more doable. But I'm going to have to reinstall the OS again.

Lots of the buttons, tabs and icon's that should be working; aren't. On the bottom taskbar only about half work as they should, so I think I need to start over.

Have you tried installing drivers from the manufacturers' websites? ESPECIALLY motherboard drivers - AMD has a full chipset package that installed smoothly for me, and on three different machines (CHF-Z boards all).

Friend I have the ASUS Crosshair V Formula, now I'm using Windows 10. I can't find any new driver from Asus website. If I use the AMD 15.7.1 driver, it only install USB driver on Windows 10.

Many people say that we can use the Windows 10 base driver but I think if we pay for a expensive and high-end motherboard from ASUS, is because we can use the best performance for a product.

My final Word is about customers care, if ASUS won't make new Windows 10 driver for AMD ROG Series is an insult for us, so I will nevesr buy and recomend a product for a Company that don't think in customers. If somebody tell me that Crosshair V formula is an old motherboard, why reason still selling this old product?

My cvfz works fine with windows 10. It sounds like your install has a serious problem.

Just completed my W10 from W7 upgrade on CVFZ with no problems at all.:D
The upgrade distribution wasn't happening for me, so I downloaded the Windows 10 Installation tool for 64bit. The update worked like a charm. Never thought I'd ever say this, but good on you Microsoft for the free upgrade.

I chose to keep all settings, drivers and applications. It took like 45mins, 3 auto reboots and then done. I didn't have to install or update any new drivers. Realtek sound drivers, USB2 and USB3 all working fine. Some game settings had to be reconfigured, but that's about all. My system also boots about 10-15secs faster and shuts down quick too.
