Crosshair v formula mb with blinking dram light, cannot POST

So i recently received back an rma'ed ocz ssd, which i decided to put back into my rig as a storage device for gaming.
After going through some issues of it not showing in computer management, I was able to format it via command prompt and get it to show up correctly.
So after I got that working, I just had to put the side panels back on my machine and be done.

When I powered down everything and installed the panels and then went to power it back up, I noticed that it didn't POST.

*Note, everything was working perfectly fine up until this point. My CPU temps never went higher then 55 degrees under heavy load.

Now the dram light on the board lights up a solid red. When I press the memOK button it flashes red for about 30 seconds. I cannot get to the BIOS or even see anything onscreen. It will not POST and I receive no beeping. The light to the left of the dram light is a solid green.

So far I've tried:

Unplugging all drives except for the main boot drive(Sammy ssd), gpu, and 1 ram stick.
Removing all ram sticks from system and testing each stick in each slot, 1 stick at a time
Reseating the GPU
Reseating the CPU
Rma'ing the CPU and greeting a replacement. Trying the replacement and adding necessary thermal paste, etc
Clearing CMOS by removing battery
I'm not sure what version of the BIOS is installed, since I can't get to the BIOS page
I've noticed the CPU fans are not spinning either when I power on the system. All power cables are installed correctly however. And the machine was functioning fine before the installation of the 2nd ssd.

My rig:
Antec Twelve Hundred Case v3
Asus Crosshair V Formula
AMD FX-8150 Zambezi black edition at default clock speeds 3.6 ghz
Antec cp- 1000 watt PSU
Antec Kuhler H20 620 liquid water cooler
Coolermaster 120mm side panel fan
XFX double D radeon 6870
G.Skill ripjaws x series, 16gb (4x4gb) ddr3 1600
Samsung 840 250gb Sata 3
OCZ Agility 3 120gb Sata 3
Samsung spinpoint f3 1tb 7200 rpm
Seagate Barracuda 700gb 7200 rpm
LG black 14x blu ray burner
LG black 12x blu ray reader
Windows 8 64bit

Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. I reached out to Asus and started a ticket request for an Rma, based off everything I was able to find here in the forums, but I was really hoping to avoid having to go that route.
The machine is barely 6 months old, but out of the time range of going through Newegg.com. 😞

PSU? Do you have the possibility to test it?

Also, have you tried to reseat the memories too?

When you're mounting the CPU cooler, be sure that you're not overtightening the screws... it may bend the mobo which can cause similar issues...

Ok as far as I can tell you have performed all of the proper steps except for 1 and I know this test will gather some nasty post unless I explain what you are testing...
1st unplug the 8-pin and if you have it the 4-Pin AUX Power Connectors and then Power up. Tell me if your Fans Spin or not...ESPECIALLY the CPU Fan...

What you accomplishing with this is a Null Connection to the board that tells it the CPU is Installed But Don't Power it up! It's a Factory Test Mode to see if your problem is the CPU or the Board.

Now what the results will show is if the CPU Fan Spins UP in this State the Board is Bad. If the CPU Fan Doesn't Spin Up but the AUX Fans do then the CPU is Faulty. Plain and Simple.

Also I do think you'll be RMA'ing something here just which will it be the CPU again or the MoBo...

BTW, Welcome to the Forums and I hope this gets sorted quickly.

WOW, DC! I just learned something new... thank you, Sir! 🙂

Wow, thanks for the great replies guys!

Turns out it's the board that is dead. I was able to get a buddy who has a near identical build to swap parts with and when I tested his working CPU, GPU, and ram, the board spit out the same red blinking dram light it did with my parts installed (same gpu, CPU, PSU, and same type of ram- but sniper series).

DC, I also tried your test and confirmed here as well that the CPU fans did actually spin with the 8 pin power connector unplugged. 😞

Since I already submitted the form for the rma, it's just a waiting game now until I hear from Asus to get it shipped off.

Thanks again for all of the help!
