Crosshair V Formula & AMD FX-6100 (windows won't boot) help please

Today I opened up a brand new AMD FX-6100 and installed it on my ASUS Crosshair V Formula motherboard.
I installed it and when I try to start my computer the screen stay competely black the whole time.
I asked a friend and he said I have to update my BIOS to the latest one.

So now I have 3 questions:
1. I noticed there's a BIOS version 1102 in the Download tab for my motherboard. If I install this one do I have to install the previous versions as well or no?
2. I have never updated my BIOS (it's still the BIOS that originally came with the motherboard) so will this latest BIOS fix this black screen from boot up?
3. What are the steps to flash my BIOS to latest one (I already downloaded it)?

Thanks,
Ben

I am in the same situation.
Take a look at the white sticker next to the 24 pin power supply. The very last 4 digits I have been told will tell you the bios version. Mine says 0404. The fx 6100 is only supported for bios versions of 0813 or above.

This is supposedly how it is done although the crosshair v formula does not have the rog connect button like stated in the video.

I havent figured it out yet.

thanks for the reply
video not found...
so you think if I update my BIOS to the latest one 1102 then I should be able to see things on my screen
Can I just paste the file onto a USB and then go into UEFI BIOS and in there I should be able to update my BIOS?

You are up to the same stage that I am at... I am waiting for somebody to confirm how to do it on the C5F
