Can someone explain this image for me? false advertising?

Also, has anyone had trouble doing two way SLI on this card with the GTX 680 series?

I can't find the original page that had it, but there's an optional add on board that enables quad SLI all running at x16. Most likely plugged into the two x16 slots already on the board but I have no idea where I originally saw it

It's called the ROG Xpander, here's the ASUS link to it

Connect to the first and third PCI express slot

Did you bother to watch the video? JJ states the board natively supports 2-way and 3-way SLI and 4-way with the Xpander.

Hello mate

if you head over to the Nvidea forums you will see and hear heaps of people with the the GTX 680 SLi and the 990FX chipset having issues. You are not alone in that one mate.

That's crazy! But wouldn't the cards not line up properly in the back of the case because they'd be now close to a half inch out of position from the expansion card?

If you're going to be spending the money for the Xpander and a Quad SLI setup, odds are you're going to have a custom built watercooled case, that thing is meant for the super hard core user, not the general market.

Back up Tonto.

The Xpanda is not for general usage I would suggest, it is more likely for the extreme bencher who wants to go for 4 way SLi. You would not want to put that in a case - and no bencher who is using a Xpanda will be benching in a case.
