CPU LED, 00 Q-Code, about done with Asus boards

So, finally got in my new components (see other threads) as shown in my signature. Hook everything up, hit power, NOTHING! 00 Q-code, CPU LED lit red. I am beyond frustrated at this point, and so far past the due date to have this computer running I am at a loss for what to do. Hopefully someone here can help me solve this so I don't have to RMA ANOTHER Asus board. I am about to switch to a different brand, but I really like all the features the ROG boards have.

Here is what I have done so far:

Currently only have CPU/GPU/PSU (24/8/4 pins)/1 stick RAM (currenlty the MEMtest verified Corsair Dominator GT, still waiting on G.Skill RAM so I can return the GT ram)/Fans and front panel connectors
Cleared CMOS
Updated BIOS to 4102 using BIOS Flashback (FAT32 USB stick with R4E.CAP in ROGConnect port, hold ROG button until flashing)
Tried re-seating CPU, checked to see if there were any bent/broken pins (none seen)

Contacted Asus support, they had me remove all the RAM and test it, same result. They said bad board or CPU and to RMA, which will take a week before they can ship it out, if I give them a credit card as collateral.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I purchased through Amazon, they won't test it, and I really hate to RMA both again. Crossing my fingers the board is the only problem and the next one works perfect.

One last thing: Did you test another PSU, because that could also be the culprit.

If I have problems with the new board I will give that a shot, I have a spare PSU I can test. Too bad I don't have a spare LGA2011 CPU and motherboard 🙂

Success! New Mobo posts just fine. Updated BIOS and installed my new RAM, currently running it through the gauntlet of MemTest before I install the OS. Any other hardware tests I can run? Any suggestions, recommendations, opinions, etc. that anyone wants to offer as far as initial install and setup? Installing Win7 Pro, 1x256GB SSD, 2x128GB SSD, (all Samsung 840 Pro).

Also, the Crosshair mobo had GameFirst application for controlling and prioritizing network use, is that available for the RIVE?

Mate keep it simple.

You do not want to clutter your board with all those add ons. And thankfully no the REIVE does not have that thing. 🙂
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

What add-ons are you referring to? I was planning on keeping things as simple as possible, but also want to ensure a good system. If a program/feature/setting will help then I want to use it, but if it's not worth it I will avoid it. That is why I am asking the experts 🙂

And I take it you aren't fond of the GameFirst program, is is not very effective, not worth the resources, etc?

Hello

Not having spare components is a definite hindrance when assuming the role of a system integrator. If spare parts are not available RMA both the CPU and motherboard. When the replacements are received use extra care placing the CPU in the socket and tightening the CPU heatsink assembly.
