CPU Fan Error. Criosshair V Formula Z with NZXT X61 Kraken

Hi,
I know there is a similar thread for Corsair H100i in this forum.
But am creating another one in case there is difference between x61 fan header. The problem is same. Bios stops from starting with Fan CPU error. As the other thread suggests the error goes away if 'cpu fan speed' is set to 'ignore' in bios monitoring tab.

But I don't want to do that if possible. The reason being I want the CPU to ramp up/down the speed when the temperature goes high/low. Has anybody managed to fix this problem?

My Bios Version is
Vendor: American Megatrends Inc.

Hi tonysonney 😄

Thank you for those links MeanMachine. So it is one less thing to worry about. The fans will be running at full speed all the time. So don't have to worry about cooling.
But the noise it makes is annoying.

Yea, So as I understand it, You would have to replace the fans with 4 pin PWM headers to make them variable?

On my crosshair v I have to turn two things off to not get the cpu error. I have a h100i and I can plug it into any fan header and she still boots. also post your corsairlink problems
here
