CPU compatibility RIVE

I just bought a intel 4820k and it does not work with a EVGA classified MB I just bought


Will it work drop in and power up with a Rampage IV extreme or do I have to do a bios flash ?

You would need a bios flash, but on the ASUS you can update the bios from a usb drive before booting up the board, so there shouldn't be any problem with compatability

An intel i7 4820K is a socket lga2011 and will work in a rampage IV extreme there is no need to flash the bios to make it work.

I would say check with retailer if possible that it comes newer BIOS than 2105
