CHV - no cache options in RAID ROM ?

Hello,

I got CHV 2 days ago. I actually replaced Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 as it just died.
Everything seems ok with board except that it's missing some cache options in RAID BIOS. When I had Gigabyte that wasn't even top model I could set read/write cache options while setting array. These options were also available in RAIDXpert but in CHV all is unavailable or just greyed out.
I'm using mainly 2x Crucial M4 SSD in RAID0 so these options are quite important to keep fast random transfers. Old board had up to 70% better random transfers ( in benchmarks like AS SSD, CDM, PCMark ) than CHV only because of these 2 options.
What is missing is Read cache / Read Ahead and Write Back.

Is there any chance that RAID ROM will be updated in some next UEFI ?
Sorry for my english but I think you will understand what I mean in this thread 😉

Since I got no answer for couple of days, I just wish to add that after I made secure erase on 2 of my Crucial M4 SSD I'm not able to install any OS in RAID without errors. Errors are usually 0x800700002 /003 /054 / 078 / ...
If I'm right then Sabertooth also doesn't have cache ( write back etc ) options in RAID BIOS. I don't know why ASUS top series are missing these options while other manufacturers have them in even 50% cheaper boards.

RAID is more an afterthought really, I am assuming that ASUS added it as a option for those who want simple options like a RAID 0 boot disk for faster booting or a RAID 1 for backup redundancy. Sadly you might be better off with a third party RAID solution if you want a more robust solution.
