I am having issues with usb ports on the back of the motherboard.
The top 2 usb ports work one works that is the ROG connect the others seem to have power but dont recognise devices plugged in.
I am using linux and do a lsusb
This lists my usb ports

Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 007 Device 002: ID 045e:0040 Microsoft Corp. Wheel Mouse Optical - this is plugged into the ROG connect port
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 7392:7711 Edimax Technology Co., Ltd EW-7711UTn nLite Wireless Adapter [Ralink RT2870] This is plugged into the Back plate extra USB
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 04e8:6032 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd G2 Portable hard drive plugged into my socket by keybard
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0bc2:5071 Seagate RSS LLC front usb
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0bc2:5071 Seagate RSS LLC front usb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
I dont know when the last time they worked as I dont normally have issues with USB.. it was just i needed to plug something else in and it wouldnt recognise it. i plugged my mouse into the ports that dont seem to work there is power as the light comes on but it wont work..
Any ideas....

Sorry after thought I have an Ares graphics card 8 gig of ram which is supported by the manual. I did update the bios about a month or 2 ago. also have cougar1200cm power suppy
amd black 1055T.
