Cant Reset or clear CMOS on my Crosshair V Formula-Z

Hi
For some reason I Cant Reset or clear CMOS on my Crosshair V Formula-Z?
I unplug the boards power, then press the clr cmos button on the back of the board, however
I am still having issues, as the cmos is still locked in place. The main issue is the pc seems slow all of a sudden. The bios reports every thing is fine other than .92 v going to each of the fx-8150 (8)cores, and the task manger is only reporting 1.37 Ghz instead of 3.61 GHz. Also the cpu bus multiplier is showing 1400 (x11-7) 200fsb.

I thought the same but on the board for me anyway, I need to have the computer switched off, but the PSU powered on, then when I click the CMOS clear button it flashes and next boot - its reset

if you cant clear the cmos anyother way remove the power cord then pull out the button battery (in the middle between the 4 pcie slots) for 30 seconds or so, thatll completly reset the bios
