Hi

have already written somasus but will have a go here to.

I have a Maximus iv gen z motherboard that is up to date :3603, but i cant seem to get secure boot to work. Im running windows 10. All the videos on how to solve this problem have been pretty pointless so far. Ive checked the system information app and it says that the bios are ueif and that secure boot is not suported.

bios version and date is: American megatrends inc  3603 2012-11.09

smbios version 2,6

Do i have to buy a new motherboard? or am i míssing something?

best regards

tim

If you absolutely need Secure Boot (e.g., for Windows 11 compatibility or enhanced security features), then yes, you will need to upgrade to a newer motherboard that explicitly supports Secure Boot.

For Windows 10, it’s usually not mandatory, so you can keep using the board as is, just without Secure Boot.
