Try again with the latest version use the same method as you did for the 1007 flash back
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

And please, if someone from Asus read this, disable BIOS updating within Windows. It's too risky and there is too many unknown variables out there (AV software, User Rights, viruses, firewalls, buggy USB 3.0 drivers from Intel, ...)
Most of times user didn't release that system has shutdown to finish process and they simply interrupt flashing

Shark that just does not make any sense??? If you can flashback to 1205 and 1007 then you should be able to flashback to all of them.

All I can suggest is that your download the bios files again. They may have gotten corrupted somehow.

Do a fresh download and see if that helps.

I try with new download and new flash drive, no success
I gues this has something to do with my board
When i flash it first time bios has version starting with 09 what means this board from early release and maybe have some problems
I think noone except asus can help here

HOW TO UPDATE TO THE 1707

1) Download the Bios file. Its usually zipped so make sure you have an unzip program. 7-zip or Frog.

2) Get a USB 2 USB 2 stick. NOT a USB 1 stick. Get a USB 2 stick. I didn`t know my USB was not USB 2 it was USB 1 and the Bios went DEAD DEAD DEAD for parts of whole days because of it and the Bios button light having a fixed blank stare..

3) Download form Asus FileRenamer. You HAVE TO RENAME THE BIOS UPDATE WITH FILE RENAMER; because the file name is too Long for the BIOS to read properly. My PC took 7 hours to boot up with the new bios before I found the fix.

4) Check this for confirmaiton.... http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1956711/asus-z87-pro-bios-update-failed-post.html

5) RELIEF. It drove me mad for four days trying to sort this out; I thought I would have to rip the motherboard out and return it after hours with support staff and on my own trying to get it to work. All support staff could do was take me back from 1504 Bios to 1007.

6) When you have unzipped the files and run the renamer with the bios in the folder; then cut everything out of the folder except for the 1707 renamed CAP file. Install via manual instructions whichever method you prefer.
Dont forget the usual appliance of `The patience of a saint`.

NIGHTMARE over. 😛

I have a fix for the Mo-bo manufacturers to implement to prevent any BIOS problems in future forevermore, but want paying for the concpet.
