Hello, I just got a Crosshair V this week and put the Amd 8150 8 core black edition in it. Every time I try and update the bios to 1102.rom using EZ flash in the bios it says that its non uefi bios or something of that nature. I believe I'm not doing it the proper way, any advice would be great. Thanks!

Have you formatted your USB flash drive to FAT?

Hi, thanks for the help. I wasn't using a flash drive I was going right to the C drive and trying to do it from there. Do I have to use a flash drive?

Well since you need to be using the FAT format I suspect that you just might have to. 🙂

Ok, so I can just format my flash drive and throw the .rom file on there and it will update?

Yep this is what I did. I downloaded and extracted all the Bios Versions up until the latest, excluding the one I currently had. Then open AI Suite II, click update and select the option to update from file. Select Bios version which comes after yours, and let it do the work. Then pc has to reboot, something appears (some sort of message from American Megatrends). I believe you press F1 on that screen and then all is fine, and repeat until you get to 1102. It's fairly quick.
