Can't update bios on x99M ws

Trough the bios. Tried reading the file directly from harddrive and from usb, but I keep beinf told its not a proper biod file. I tried X99-M-WS-ASUS-3803.cap and renaimg it didn't work either. I'm on w10. What is wrong? Do I need to update to a previous verison first (Im on 0502)?

Could you tell me which method you are using to try and update?

There are a few different ways to update or load a bios. In your user-manual English version pages 3-61 onward, section 3.11 lists the ways in which you can update or recover a bios with your motherboard.

Hey HiViz.

Here's the thing: I reached out to asus support and they sent me files from different links. None worked. I downloaded all bios versions, starting from the version Im on currently 0502, and up to the latest3803. The only file that is recognized and flashable in ezflash is 0502. Weird situation. Im using a dok to flash.
