Can't get into bios and keeps cycling through update.

I just built my new computer today and turned on the machine. The irog update comes up and then it goes to the enter bios screen. I can't get into the bios and it keeps cycling back and forth between the updates. I'm not sure what to do here, is it a bad motherboard or whats my issue?

What bios does your motherboard have? If it is a new motherboard you can find the shipping bios on the long white sticker that is near the sata and 24 pin connectors.

And I still do not know what motherboard you are using nor what the actual CPU is. Is it a 8350 or ?

Thank you, now lets see what bios your system was shipped with.

Certainly it is not good that your board is cycling through irog updates. Please try to power on with only one stick of memory, keyboard and mouse and the VGA fitted.

No other devices.

Greetings,

I'm not sure if this is appropriate but in this case can't we attempt to access the BIOS via the DIRECT KEY on the motherboard (page 1-25 of the manual for manual version E7477).

Well I finally got into bios by clearing the cmos and using the go button to start up. Only now if you shut the computer down it keeps cycling through firmware updates again. I'm RMAing this board, something is not right.

Thanks for the update.

I believe what HiVizMan is trying attempting to do is to verify that the BIOS version on the motherboard will support the CPU that you have installed.

If you wish before you RMA the board provide the following info (it may simply be an issue of wrong BIOS for the CPU you are using):
BIOS version: (ex: 1801)
CPU Type: (ex: FX-8350)

I also would go a step further into bench testing the board also (which should be done before installing the components in the case just to rule out any defective parts).

Keep us in the loop.

Are you using a USB keyboard ? Have you tried a ps2 ?
I think you are hitting 'del' and the MB can't see it [frankly].
