Just need to see if these will all work together nicely. I recently upgraded (waiting for them to be shipped) and just want to know if i will run into any snags. here is what i got

Amd fx-8150 black edition
Asus crosshair v formula
g.skill ripjaws z series 16gb. ddr3 (pc3 17000)
2, Evga GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2.0 16X graphics cards. (sli)
Corsaid Enthusiast series tx750 v2 750W atx12v v2.31

Just need to know that it will run solidly. And another question is what is the chance i will have to upgrade the bios when i install the 8150?
i am coming from this setup

Amd phenomII x4 840
4gb crucial ballistix ddr2
500W power supply
Evga Geforce gt 430 graphics card
A Micro Atx motherboard. im pretty sure its gigabyte. but my computer runs flawlessly. Never had a bsod or any problems. I usually take the time to set up the timing for the ram and etc. like i said just want to make sure it will run to spec.

i woud say you will need to drop the latest bios on a memory stick and then install that before the 8150, i know i had to do that when i got my formula and the 8150

WELCOME TO THE FORUM !
Are you planning to OC the processor ? If so then you are going to need to upgrade your cooling for the CPU. The FX cpu's do tend to run a bit hotter than your Phenom II. If your case will handle it, may I recommend the Corsair H-100 H2O system, there are several people in the forum running that system.
If you do happen to run into a snag or two, there are any number of forum members here who will be more than happy to share their knowledge and experience.
Either way I'm sure you will enjoy your new system, YOU HAVE CHOSEN WISELY ! 🙂 🙂

The BIOS of your motherboard should be compatible, but to be 100% sure what you can do is ask your retailer to check the the BIOS version on the board.

Good selection of kit my friend.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I was fortunate to have my CHV ship with FX compatible bios, as a back up plan i already had purchased an 8 GB usb drive to install windows from along with having the newest bios on the USB drive. I considered 16 GB over 8 GB, but read there were problems with 4 dimm kits running at 2133, also the Gskill sniper barely fit as it is do to the size of the v6 gt cooler, I doubt i would have been able to use the first slot as I already have to remove the fan on the side the ram slots are on to get the ram stick in and out of slot 2, then read it was best to use slots 2 and 4 anyway so it worked out. And thus far i've yet to see my ram usage go past 45 %.
