Hi there,

I have been working on this problem for 2 days and it makes me sick already.

I just purchased new Maximus Formula VI and decided to move to UEFI windows 8.1 installation.

I totally have 3 HDD :

1 - Intel 80 GB SSD (system)
2 - Samsung 840 Pro SSD (games)
3 - Seagate 1 TB HDD (files)

I did all installation in UEFI mode and got windows 8.1 running and it was only possible disconnecting Samusng SSD from PC. when I was connecting it to pc inhalation freezes in first operation it started. After installation on Intel SSd without Samsug SSD atached I decided to connect Samung back. And after restart Windows is not loading freezes on loading screen and after some long time says there was problem starting the windows.

I have tried to take Samusng SSD out of the PC connected it to PC via USB - no problem. Did formatting from USB as well partition delete and made new one. After connecting it back to SATA no progress Windows just dont Boot.

From other hand there was no problem from HDD it was working perfect during installation and after in windows mode.

I do not know what to do any more. How to get this SSD boot.

Some facts:
Windows is in UDFI mode instaled.
It is Windows 8.1 and have tried with windows 7 the same problem
All HDD are atached to SATA 6G nothing to Sata6G_E

Can anyone help me please with this problem,

Thanks,

Freely

Which SATA ports are you using the Intel ones or the Asmedia ones?

What do you mean you format the SSD? How did you do that?

This is how I would do the install.

Have only the OS SSD connected.

In bios set AHCI as my SATA mode.

Install OS.

Install all the drivers.

Now connect the other two hard drives.

Set up new drives as needed in Disk Management.

I am using all drives on Intel ones. I did installation as you say:

1 disk inhaled all OS then putted on all drivers. Connected the other drives and when added other ssd windows fails to load.

OK do the obvious stuff, change the SATA port you used for the SSD. Check the power connector, change the sata cable.
