Thank you for the information... It did help a lot but I noticed I couldn't get the bios on the screen when I had the ROG connect but once I removed it I had 2 old LCD monitor one from a brother's friend donated it and another was dell from a friend's friend at there work place. I noticed it's the ROG connect that didn't show any... but I only plug an old LCD but the monitor is all green instead of black so I assume the LCD isn't good anymore...
I noticed I went to Bios and I clicked normal bios and disable overclocking... And I'm sorry I thought I had the i7-3930 but actually I purchased the cheap version of i7-3820 because I couldn't afford $1,100.00 for the i7-3960X which I'm impressed with the benchmark over the i7-990X...
But I noticed when it rebooted I noticed it kept shutting down and turning on and then shut down again. So I try to reboot or turn it off and then I turned it on... then I pressed Del to get back into Bios but I didn't see anything on the screen and it would constantly change debug guide number... for at least 5-10 minutes... because I went to the WC then I got back in 10 minutes it still kept changing numbers like 67 and kept going...
Since I was able to see the Bios I was able to reinstall the SDRAM from what 8 Pack suggested and thank you... but now I noticed that it kept going and I cannot seem to see anything on the screen.
I have a Dell SFF micro ATX which I usually use a delete hard drive software... I need to reformat my Hitachi 7200 HDD. It goes up to 8 passes for 2-4 hours to delete/reformat it's a U.S. government approve of defense... if I wanted to reformat the hard drive so I can erase and delete any files in the hard drive.
I'm thinking of like I did with my other hard drive was erase the HDD because I have a Win XP 32-bit installed in the Hitachi
then ill install the Win 7 OS and then ill install whatever drivers requires for the motherboard and the GPU drivers... then I can transfer the Win 7 OS... I purchased a full version of the Win 7 OS on Amazon... but I noticed this X79 motherboard doesn't install the WinXP 32-bit OS... and I got the Win 7 OS... I believe the full version has a 32-bit and a 64-bit...
My problem is that if I only have a full version of Win XP 32-bit and a Win 7 OS... if I want to install a WinXP 32-bit I'd have to install the Win 7 OS 32-bit?? But it did said in the papers that came along with the manual that this motherboard prefers 64-bit...?
I'm sorry for the multiple questions... I got a lot of family and friends spinning there head with the way I asked questions...
So my question is that if it doesn't stop the debug random number what is it trying to do? I know it shut down and restart and shut down multiple times when I change the bios to normal instead of overclock the CPU... because I believed that the i7-3820 isnt a fast CPU... which I prefer the i7-3960X but unfortunately I can't afford $1,100.00 on amazon...
And I'm sure intel is planning on competing against the 8 core AMD... Which I picked R4E over CrossHair V formula for the graphics then the soundcard/ethernet thunderbolt... I'm impressed with the i7-3960X because of the L2 15 mb cache and I picked i7-3820 because it had a 10mb cache and I've seen a i7-2600 CPU had only around 8 mb cache if I'm not mistaken.
And which is recommended OS... and if it's 64-bit... how much is the Win XP 64-bit version or does it include in the Win XP OS full version like the Win 7 OS both 32-bit and 64-bit...? Because I'd hate to purchase another Win XP just for 64-bit version... if I knew they had a different version I would pick the Win XP 64-bit version but I do not think the outdated version of ASUS P5N-D can take the Win XP 64-bit version thus I had a 32-bit version although I did purchase Win XP professional full Version in a local electronic store...
And I'm very quite sorry if I sound confusing... I'm living in a area where they speak different language and I kind of picked up their slang language by interacting with the locals so to speak.... LOL
But yeah I used to play online games like Final Fantasy Online... I don't think I would want to play an mmorpg in this PC though... mainly for autocad and adobe photoshop... and probably skyrim... lol Or else I would've picked the crosshair V formula for the MMORPG or probably purchase a new PS3 because my Blu-ray optical drive isn't working both the open/close gear box isnt working and it cannot read Blu-ray discs even with Maxwell Blu-Ray cleaner... Which the only MMO I'm really into is FF online or old diablo/starcraft games...
