At least now I know Broadcom hardware was used with this board. Junk. My problem is that it doesn't connect. Keeps stating that it took too long to add device blah blah. I assume this is backward compatible? Also where do I find UP-TO-DATE drivers for the Assmedia and Broadcum hardware? I feel like returning my Maximus V and Matrix to the store. I don't pay this much for cheap garbage.

Yes I agree and I think that you should return the board and get a brand that makes you happier. ROG brand is not for all.
