I've noticed that ever since a few BIOS updates back I started to get issues rebooting. I power up everything goes fine, reboot...get to the post then a blank screen. I press the power button, the PC shuts off immediately (no need for a long press) press it again and it boots up normally.
I am about 99% certain at this stage its a BIOS issue based on the following:
1. Tried low level format of primary HDD (Vertex 4 SSD) and completely clean install (a couple times) - Problem persists.
2. Tried swapping out the RAM (From Corsair Vengeance to G.Skill Ripjaws both 1600's CAS9) - Problem persists.
3. Tried swapping out PSU (From XClio 750W to Corsair HX750) - Problem persists.
4. Swapped out primary HDD to Samsung 840 Pro SSD and clean installing again - Problem persists.
Eventually I got to the point of downloading the 1404.ROM, renaming it to ERALL.ROM and USB flashing. - Problem fixed.
Ok but I'm on an ancient ROM now and I'm running 8.1 so I run the CAP converter and go to 2105. - Problem still fixed.
This makes sense so far I was running fine for a while after converting to CAP.
Finally flashed back to the latest CAP - Bam! Problem is back.
I haven't had the time or willpower to go back and work out exactly which one it goes awry on yet but I wanted to know if anyone else has had anything similar or if its just me.
I'm running an R4G with i7-3820, currently back on the Corsairs, Samsung SSD and a 650Ti.
