Bios for disabling cores?

Hey guy, I need to know if/where I can find a BIOS for my CVFZ that will let me disable one core per module on my 8350. I tried with PSCheck and I wasn't having too much luck, and I also saw somewhere that it isn't possible on the 8350. I was under the impression that it was, and I would really like to try this, as most of what I do could benefit from a really fast quad core.

Yes there is a setting within the BIOS to disable the cores; I think it is under Advanced > CPU; sorry but I'm not in front of my system right now to see what menu it is under.

That allows you to disable by modules, not cores. I need to disable one core in each module for a total of 4 disabled, not 2 modules for a total of 4.

I had very good success with PSCheck and was able to clock one core significantly higher than the others on the same CPU. Got the CPU close to or over 8GHz for the 32mil Super PI WR on AMD.

HiVizMan, any idea where I could find a guide on how to use PSCheck? It seems like it would work best but I don't really understand how to use it.

Reply to usx8. In Bios go to CPU Core On/Off Function set it to manual. You should be able to disable certain cores.

There is not really a guide how to use PScheck besides open as Admin, select which core you want to OC and do it.
