Hi,

I tried to Upgrade to 4901, and somehow it failed. (My system worked perfectly before that, on for almost all the time)
I'm have swithed over to the 2nd UEFI. from 2013...

This is what I get I get post and I see the ATAPI (Ithinkt it is called that I can see something about my harddrive...) post screen then I get American Megatrend post and it is telling me to press F1 to enter BIOS setup. but nothing happens. I have changed keyboard and also ports. (on the post it says that my keyboard is Connected)
It seems to be feezing when it comes to that screen. (Also tried to Clear CMOS button)
(I had X.M.P. profile enabled) and no havn't touched the other settings...

Is there any way I can install a older BIOS on the non working one? because I dont want to update the one that is working.

Please please someone... help?

1. Switch back to the first BIOS with the frozen problem.
2. Download the 4901 BIOS from Asus website.
3. Format a USB pendrive to FAT32.
4. Extract the BIOS file and rename the file to R4E.CAP.
5. Put the BIOS file on your USB pendrive.
6. Connect the USB pendrive to the white USB Port.
7. Press the ROG Connect button for three seconds until the LED begins to blink, then release.
8. Wait until the LED stops blinking.
9. Power on your system.

THANKS M8

worked like a charm.

Found out what the real problem was.

I have a watercooled system and have not Connected water cooling power to the CPU_power, So when post comes up and there is no CPU fan connected, you will get a error Message CPU_FAN_FAIL. What happens next is that the system freezes.
You have to bypass this by connecting a cpu fan (luckely I had one) into the MB, and og into BIOS setting and ignore the monitoring of the cpu fan, and viola new BIOS available.

This should be raised to the BIOS programmers.

Thanks again Chino for Your help. I was sitting and tweaking my work PC, got really scared...

Well, you never mentioned that small detail so I had no idea. lol There is no need to escalate this to the BIOS team since it's working as it as designed to. Glad you solved your problem though.
