slow boot up with external 3tb drive

so ever since i hooked up my usb 3 3tb external drive my boot times went into the tank. have looked all over the bios for a way to fix this with no luck. i have the maximus formula v. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, that was easy!

I managed to get a stable (22 hours of Prime95) 4.7GHz/2133MHz overclock with maybe sixty minutes of adjusting stuff in the BIOS. This board is SO much easier to overclock than anything else I've ever used.
