B350-F Strix: Installing Realtek drivers disables audio enhancements (eg loudness EQ)

Hi

I'm having some problems with my audio drivers on the B350-F Strix. My OS is WIndows 10 Pro. When I install the realtek drivers (I've tried both versions posted on the Asus website) the audio enhancement page goes blank.

Before install Realtek, using Microsoft drivers: http://i.imgur.com/JtMwsQ6.png

After installing drivers: http://i.imgur.com/0qRALLb.png

Is this intended behaviour? To me it looks like the enhancement tab is bugged. Can anyone with a B350-F Strix check their enhancements and see if they are available? And if they are, why are they disabled for me?

I've reinstalled the drivers multiple times, and tried the drivers from the Realtek site without the Sonic Studio software. The only way I can get enhancements is to uninstall Realtek and use Microsoft drivers. Also, loudness equalization isn't an option at all in the Realtek Audio Manager.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it - I really need loudness equalization.

Thanks

The enhancements all butcher your audio anyway. 8(

I only turn loudness EQ on when I play PUBG as I can't hear footsteps without it. It also helps with the gunshot sounds being too loud in the game as well. Loudness EQ solves both issues.

You can probably achieve the same thing with driver EQ without compressing the hell out of the audio.

isn't loudness equalization in the Sound Effects section of the Realtek Audio Manager to the right of Environment with the asus driver?
I have an asus driver 6.01.8029 and there is no audio enhancements in speaker properties with this driver either. What I need is Speaker Fill !!!

After long discussion with a tech at Microsoft and after sending him the Asus driver that I'm using {8029} and the one from your motherboard , he said said Asus has to include these features in their drivers. I'm disappointed asus left out these features that our on board audio can support. The fact is the asus driver does not have the full capabilities that our on board audio can support.

It's not really a case of Asus disabling features of the board, those are standard settings included by Microsoft in Windows.

They're probably disabled because they're largely pointless and conflict with settings that the audio chip itself is actually designed to support.
