Asus Z87 / Z97-WS Motherboards

I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with Asus' WS series of motherboard? As an option, I'm considering pairing the new Z97-WS with an Intel 4790K when it becomes available.

It appears as though this board is quite capable from an overclocking perspective, although the Z87-WS didn't seem to perform very well when HardOCP tried to use the auto OC features in this test. Not sure if that was a fluke or if it's truly representative of the MB itself.

From a feature, component quality, and validation testing perspective, the board is attractive. Can anyone offer some first-hand experience on this product or even some thoughts & opinions? Thanks in advance.

Z97 auto tuning has been revised for more flexibility - it's more robust and does not fall over in handbrake for me. Check out the sticky thread here for guides and an overview of some of the features on the 9 series boards:

WS is a solid choice.
