Asus Z370

Hi Guys,

Any news on the new Asus Z370 mobos?

I've seen a few leaks of MSI, Asrock and Gigabyte versions.

Keen to see if there will be an Asus Apex/Formula Z370 version and what they look like. 😃

Thanks,

Y.O.D.A.

Nice find dude thanks! 😃

I will deffo be interested in the Apex! I hope this time they have a rear cover over the ports like the Asus Apex VI (I don't mean the I/O shield, I've got one of those on my Z270 Apex).

Sucks that the 7700k won't work in the new Z370 in a way but gives me an excuse to get the 8700K.

I'm guessing looking at your large list of computer hardware that you might be getting a Z370 mobo too Methol hehe? 😃

Yoda, Oh yes, the 8700K will make for a very nice system
Coffee Lake and Z370 boards are supposed to release next week 10/5, I also noticed a new ASUS board mentioned "Z370 Dragon", is this a mistake or where does this board fit into the line up?
I also am interested in the Apex and maybe a Hero for my daily ride

I have my money ready! 😃

Asus Dragon?! I really hope it's a top end motherboard rather than a entry level. That would be sweet. Maybe it is entry but in direct competition with MSI carbon gaming Mobo. I'm guessing this isn't based on anything haha!

Any reason you would choose hero over a formula? I've not had a hero or formula before just wondering. Maybe Formula is not available at launch that's why?*

I heard the temps on 8700k adds 10c to the 7700ks temps but that's to be expected I guess due to the two extra cores. Really looking forward to it! Let the testing and benchmarking begin I say!

Really, really entry level. LOL

LOL yeah one PCI express slot , two usbs (for keyboard and mouse). No reset button just a power button. No heatsinks on the PCH and a 2 phase VRM pff..

But joking a side. There is no mention of the dragon on the link I posted above (Guru 3D) haha. Who knows rofl... They could be ready for launch boards tho. A well 😃

I don't care for the Armor on the Formula, that's pretty much it, and Hero has everything I like without the extras, I am thinking the Dragon is a mistake, can't believe everything from VideoCardz
I have my Rockit Delid tool ready to shave that 10c off

True m8, I think Hero is a great option. After using the Asus Apex IX with the 7700K, I will most likly opt for that again for the 8700K.

Totally going to de-lid the beast. Got a Delid-Die-Mate 2 myself but both versions make the process pretty easy I imgine.

I'll be using some Thermal Greezy Conductonaut again that I used on my 7700K. Really worked well.

just spotted this over at Guru3d: Pics include the Hero and Formula plus various other mobos and how the different mobos fit in the line up:

All that brushed metal is making those boards look very attractive to me. The hero looks awesome.

VideoCardz.net information is correct. For those who want to know, Dragon motherboards are exclusive value-oriented products for Chinese market.
Z370 Dragon product page is not uploaded yet, but here you can check the previous Z270 (look at the main picture with description of features on the Overview tab; the pictures in the gallery incorrectly show another Dragon mobo): https://www.asus.com.cn/Motherboards/Z270-DRAGON/
As the current Z370s are only a refresh of their respective Z270 predecessors, we can be sure Z370 Dragon is going to be almost identical.
