Asus z170 deluxe--second gtx1080 is not detected

I have a asus Z170 deluxe with latest BIOS version. I have 2 inno3d gtx1080 ichill 4x .The second one won't get detected in the BIOS and windows. Each card works fine in the first pcie 16x slot but the second one in the second pcie 16x slot won't
Before i had 2 980ti working fine. I've connected the 2 with regular SLI Bridge. Tried reinstalling drivers but didn't help.
Anyone experience same problem?

Hi griswoold

Try resetting the bios to defaults (F5).

If that doesn't help try a 980 Ti in the 2nd pcie slot to see the pcie slot is still working then try both 1080's in the 2nd pcie slot.

Strange it would work with a 980ti and not a 1080.

Thank you for your input , turns out the second pcie 16x slot is broken
