asus TUF Z790 plus very slow boot time

Hello,

Here are my PC specifications:

Motherboard: TUF Gaming Z790 Plus WiFi DDR5
RAM: 128GB Corsair DDR5 (2 x 64GB, Vengeance RGB, 5600MHz)
Graphics Card: ASUS 4060 Ti
Power Supply: ASUS TUF 1000W Gold
SSD: SAMSUNG 980Pro 1TB

When I turn on my PC, it takes approximately 50 seconds to start. Initially, after pressing the power button, the PC begins to operate, but nothing displays on the monitor. After about 50 seconds, it beeps and then shows the BIOS screen. Occasionally, after pressing the power button, it takes about 30 seconds without any display on the monitor before it suddenly turns off and restarts. After another 10 seconds, the display appears. I have enabled fast boot mode and set the POST delay time to zero, but these changes have not resolved the issue.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this problem.

Thank you.

Hi,

Start/Restart your PC then enter in your BIOS : Press F7 to switch in Advanced Mode > AI Tweaker tab > DRAM Timing Control :

MRC Fast Boot : Enabled

Press F10 to Save & Exit

Thank you MoKichu,

I appreciate your response. it was set to Enabled.

I have a question about my RAM size (4 x 32GB), which is not listed on the ASUS recommended RAM list. I removed 2 of the 32GB modules, and the remaining 64GB (CMH64GX5M2B5600C40) still shows the same results. This situation seems very strange.

Hi,

There is nothing strange, you are generating your own issues :

- By using memory sticks kits which are not in the QVL list (which is at your own incompatibility risk) : https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-z790-plus-wifi/helpd....

- By using memory sticks kits combined/mixed (2 kits of 2 memory sticks must not be combined/mixed to be used in a quad memory sticks configuration, you must have a native kit of 4 memory sticks binned for that : https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/intel-700-600-series/don-t-combine-memory-kits-the-meat-and-potatoes-o...).
