Asus ROG CPU-Z only shown 2/3 of the Window????

Hi there,

I have a complete new PC.

Core i7 3280
Asus Rampage IV Extreme

My Windows 7 64bit is new installed!

My problem is, any version of ROG CPU-Z are shown only 2/3 of the CPU-Z window. the 1/3 on the left side is invisible?
At the standard CPU-Z, everything is okay!?
Wtf?
I tried out 3 versions of ROG CPU-Z...a black version...a green version, but it can´t show correct?

I take a picture of it, may somebody can help me?

In German:

Die ROG Versionen von CPUZ werden nicht korrekt dargestellt. es fehlt immer das linke drittel des Fensters...woran liegt das?
Die Standardversion von CPU-Z hingegen funktioniert normal?!
Grüße

Santury look in your Windows dir, do you see a file called explorer.exe.rogbak? Is the "date created" the date that you installed the ROG theme?

Hmr..Ok guys, do this:

Download the last version oft his tool (either x64 or x86 depending on what you are running): http://www.dependencywalker.com/
Unzip it to a directory and run it. Go to File>Open and point to the cpu-z.exe executable and open it.
Got to Profile> Start Profiling.
It will open a window, just hit OK.
CPU-Z will run, once it fully loads, got to Profile> Stop Profiling.
Go to File>Save As and save it like cpu-z or whatever or your desktop.
Upload that whatever.dwi file somewhere and give me a link so I can see what's messing it up.

x86 Didn't work:
15548

I got the exact same result when I tried to open the vanilla CPU-Z too. Could not do the profiling.
gpsvc.dll is in my Windows/system32 dir.
I have about 20 IEshims.dll in subdirectories under Windows/winsxs/.

Then I tried x64:

PMd you a link to the dwi, but CPU-Z did not run, it crashed. You can see the errors on the screenshot.
The exact same thing happened again W/vanilla CPU-Z, but W/different addresses of course. I did not save that dwi.

EDIT 1/4: My AV/firewall was interfering. It worked when I turned it off:

@HW: I sent you a PM, we'll find out the culprit there and share it here afterwards. Regarding ieshims.dll library and WinSxS:

WinSxS is Windows Side by Side. This is how windows stores and manages several versions of a library side by side because different software depends on different library versions. It's kind of messy but that's how it works. It's normal to find a gazzilion of versions of a library there and unfortunately there's no easy/automatic way to cleaning it up. Usually the WinSxS directory becomes rather large with time..

That said ieshims.dll is an internet explorer 8+ library and is likely irrelevant with the issue here. Let's do the troubleshooting via PMs though or the thread would be spam'd.

@Santury: Was the theme currently applied when you uninstalled? Install it again, make sure it's not applied by forcing the default windows theme and then uninstall.

Well I have solved the condition that produces this problem: It is when the Windows taskbar is on the left side of your screen!
Go figure, it is only reproducable with the Asus ROG skin.

Wow, that one's right up there with "did you hold your tongue the right way when you booted the machine" and "did you stir your coffee twice to the right and 3 times to the left".

What a weird problem.
