Asus ROG Boot Logo problems

Hi I recently bought an Asus Maximus Hero VII and everything worked fine but after formatting my SSD I run into this annoying issue were initially the ROG logo would replace the Windows 8.1 logo until the login screen but now the logo comes on and then disappears and the Windows logo comes on and compared to before it takes and extra couple of seconds before the logging in page comes up.
Also another issue I have my Windows Boot Manager is on my secondary drive (My 1 TB HDD) and I've been wandering if it's supposed to be on my primary drive instead (My 256 GB SSD).

My build:
Intel COre I5 - 4690k @ 3.5 GHz (Stock)
Stock Intel Fan Cooler (Temporary, waiting for Corsair H110i GT to be delivered)
Asus Maximus Hero VII Z97
Crucial MX100 256 GB
WD Caviar Blue 1 TB
Asus Direct CUII 760 OC Edition
16 GB Corsair Vengence LP Profile RAM @ 1600 MHz
Corsair CX600M NZXT H400

Thanks.
Bye.

I got the same problem. Compared to before, there is now an underscore symbol ( _ ) blinking before the WIndows logo appears taking up more boot time than before. I just want the ROG logo back and faster boot time again :I

The rog logo appears during bootup when you have fastboot enabled which is really just another name for sleep. When fastboot is not enabled you see the windows logo during bootup.

My fastboot never worked due to a critical kernel-power error ID 41 that occurs under system shutdown. The system looks like it shuts down properly, however, if I check event viewer I will see the kernel-power error and that the system didn't shut down properly. Because of this fastboot fails for me 😕
It is just wierd because even though fastboot never worked for me, the ROG logo used to appear, until yesterday when that somehow changed.

EDIT: Fastboot is enabled both in Windows and BIOS.

I am running 8.1 professional x64 and I also had kernel power issues with fastboot enabled not to mention weird behavior. I was having to reboot windows all too often to clear it up which is why I disabled it on my pc so I can clean boot each time. Fastboot is a hybrid sleep mode and apparently it doesn't work for everybody.

Hi guys thanks for the replies, I've actually found a solution to my problem, the issue was that I installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64 in BIOS Legacy which gave the slow boot up time and the (_) to fix this either you convert your BIOS to UEFI or you re-install Windows but this time when you press F8 you choose the UEFI version of your USB (if you are using a USB to install Windows).
SO try and check Nahrga and see if you have your BIOS in Legacy Mode there are plenty of tutorials on the internet on how to convert or re-install Windows in UEFI mode, hope this helps.

I just realized that my main drive with the Windows Boot Manager was the second boot priority, I changed it back to first and it now boots faster and the ROG logo is back 🙂
I believe it's my own fault as I had to boot up from a different device a few days ago and forgot to put it back as first priority.. :I

You know since I've flashed to the latest bios the rog log has replaced my windows logo at boot up and fastboot is disabled on my system but the rog effects are enabled.
