Is the SSD a brand new OS install?

How full is the SSD?

There are many reasons why a SSD will slow down in a benchmark.

I go to my friend - and he had z87 asus - and here 550 x 550 write read.. without reinstall the OS..

30 gb free of 120..

What i can do ? maybe some settings ? - i see that's games play not so perfor as on z87..(( lower fps for half ((

Even windows loading - more faster on z87 ((

Maybe i do someting wrong ?

I think we were all "taken" by x79 chipset.. Slow boot.. Slower sad read/write.. No PCIE3 native.. List goes on..

Waiting eagerly for x99... *crosses fingers*

Which SATA port do you have it plugged into? There are three controllers: native Intel SATA 6 Gbps, Asmedia SATA 6 Gbps, and Asmedia Sata 3 Gbps. I'm not sure on the performance difference between the Intel and Asmedia 6 Gbps ports, but the 3 Gbps port will sure ruin your day. I am getting about 550 R/W on the native Intel ports with my Samsung EVO drive..

If you look at the user manual it will show you the Intel 6G ports on the diagram.
