I had a similar problem early on... but I've been trying to find the right config for me that it kind of went away. I think it has something to do with the USB ports and something being plugged in. I also no longer have the OC Panel plugged into my board - it's currently just powering my pumps.

Double check your USB settings in the UEFI.

snap I have the same problem but I have all usb off and all devices in device manager to not turn on but mine still turns on sometimes right away sometimes in a few hours

Hello,

I am suddenly experiencing the same issue. When I shut down the system via Windows shut down option, the usual "shutting down" screen shows up but the LEDs never go off and the system restarts instead. As the OP mentioned, the only way to turn off the system is to kill it via the power button... the USB issue seems unlikely to me, as this issue has only recently begun to occur, and none of my BIOS settings or system components have changed... could this be a Windows issue??? Perhaps there is something in the scheduled tasks or registry that is telling the system to reboot. Having said that, the fact that windows says "shutting down" rather than "restarting" is perplexing.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Carson

Hello. Im glad i found the exact topic because this happens to me. About 1 of each 3 shut off via windows (8.1) It restarts, but takes a longer time to see display logo than if i do restart properly, and the beep sounds a bit longer and low pitched.

I have a GTX Titan, 2X Hyper x 4gb Kingston, 2x Corsair Neutron (Raid0) have plugged the RogPanel and on usb have a F710Joystick on front and a receiver for Wireless combo mouse and kb Microsoft 2000. No over clock

Make sure you have disabled WOL settings in network adapters. I resolved my issue by restoring my system to a restore point... it was a windows update that caused my issue. Try disabling c6 sleep states in the bios. Run malware bytes to make sure it's not a Trojan.

Has anyone figured this out? Its driving me crazy!! I have windows pro 7 shut my computer down the red leds on the board do not turn off but the computer seems to be off. 3 to 5 minutes later it boots back on like someone turned it on. Glad to see a thread thought my computer was possessed. Is there a solution to this problem

The Intel RST drivers can cause this at times as well..
