Asus rampage formula IV Failure (Black screen & Fans running)

Hi, Ive got a problem with my Asus rampage formula IV, It started with me trying to run the game Path of exile, It crashed my computer _heavily_ a couple of times hanging it totally with a buggy colored screen, After rebooting the hard way by reset button the computer went black and the fans would run, I had to power the computer off and on for maybe 10-15 times until it would finally start giving me a screen and go into windows, I read some forums and probably found the error in the game causing it to crash, It had a problem with my soundblaster sound card and i was forced to use software audio and now the game seem to work not crashing. I thought this was fixed.

Next time i started my computer it began failing again, Fans running and harddrive working some, The keyboard and mouse light up after a while but then went black again, The screen is all black and the monitor is orange trying to connect.
On the MB inside the computer the VGA led is lit up red, And sometimes also the VGA_led + Boot_led lights up, I tried to updating the bios but it would not take the .cap files so i used the converter file explained by asus and renamed it to R4F.rom, Inserting the usb stick into the white slot, Pressing the rog connect it and starts blinking for 2 minutes, This seemed to work, But when i try loading the latest asus formula iv .cap it blinked 3 times and then stopped, it wont read it.

What i did then was probably something wrong, i took the latest .cap file and renamed it to .rom, It started reading it with the rog connect button blinking for 1-2 minutes then when it was done and i try to start the computer it starts and shuts off after 1 second, The boot is bricked right?

I try to update the bios again with ANY bios file rom or cap, Now the rog connect button dont even light up or flash at all..

I have tried turning the power off, removing the battery, Reset Cmos, removing the ram, Trying one ram in difference slots, Changing the graphics card, Measuring the PSU and it seems ok when i look at the voltages while its running the fans + the video card fan, i also removed the cpu from the MB and putting it back in, Tensioning and loosing the H100 waterfan screws, Removing the soundblaster card.

The computer has this parts: Asus rampage formula IV, 3930k processor, Dominator 1866 x 4 memory, OCZ 700W PSU, Asus 7970 Graphics card, also tested one different graphics card

What to do? Ive thought of ordering another motherboard but they are pretty expensive and hard to get, The only one available is like the Asus rampage black edition around here, and if i buy another MB for like 500$ and it does not solve the problem it would not be so funny 🙂
I could buy completely new MB and processor but I felt pretty happy with my 3930k before this happened. Its still good right?

Help is welcome. Thanks!

Anyone got some ideas? If i pull the CPU power atleast the CPU LED lights up red when trying my 1 second startup.. This might mean the cpu is ok?

Still not any progress..

If you didn't upgrade the BIOS and your mobo is old, that sounds like it might be dead now.

If you tried to upgrade the BIOS before having that problem that might be related to it. I am also a PoE player and I haven't had any problem of crashes because of it. I just updated my BIOS two days ago and I was not aware of the problem with older BIOS on Rampage mobos, now I am waiting for a new BIOS chip that I have purchased .... The documentation on the ASUS website is pretty bad.

READ the stickies in the top of the forum on how to flash the bios, your not doing right. Your flash didn't work, as it only flashes a few seconds..........

I would power system down and unplug for a bit. Plug back in and turn psu on. REformat the usb and re download the bios to the usb. Verify that the bios update is on formatted usb R4F.CAP. With psu on only insert into rog flashback and hold the flashback button till it starts to blink. I use a pencil eraser as I go t fat fingers lol. It will flashh faster then when light goes out pull usb out and power on tower. I had a bad flash on my bios and had to re download and flash as mine went into a crazy boot loop and wouldnt post or go into bios. Worth a shot
