Asus P9X79 Deluxe SSD Caching Problem

Hi please help me

I have a P9X79 Deluxe. From the beginning I use on it with SSD Caching.
It is still the same Corsair GT SSD 120GB and 1TB WD Black .
I can not say exactly but since I already after installing Windows 8 appeared an issue. It never occurred while Windows 7

By Application V2.00.12 ASUS AI SuiteII using SSD Caching V1.00.07 unite both drives.
Several versions of BIOSes back ( I currently have BIOS 4502 ) and system Windows 7 SSD caching feature worked flawlessly and did not turn off until after updating BIOS!
On Windows 8 and 8.1 SSD caching after a full shut down the computer and restart off and the message at boot with Marvell controller shows that the drives are not configured.
This was so random and I can not associate it with anything. However, most often when the computer SSD caching was enabled.

Some time ago reinstalling your system and from that moment, this situation occurs every time already. When you turn on your computer is configured before SSD caching is not! This can be seen already during the boot messages from the Marvell controller.

However, if the system restarts, the function of SSD caching works properly all the time and remains active when the system starts.

After installing Windows 8 from bootable Media came to me in Boot option: "Windows Boot Manager". Previously I had no such thing was to choose only the: "S0: (disk symbol)"
I have the latest bios motherboard and system upgrade to Windows 8.1.
Before replacing a disk in the same setup SSD Caching worked but then I had to choose Boot option "S0: (drive name)" and now I do not have the possibility to choose because it disappeared, only "Windows Boot Manager".

Completely I can not associate it with anything, I have not changed any settings. The only thought that comes to mind is that last newer versions of BIOS something spoiled. I bought this motherboard because of this feature, and I was very pleased with it, the more that have never wailed.

Very You please help and suggestions, I lost all hope .. : (

I think that Windows 8 has established itself at the beginning of the partitions and divided into 2 smaller 100 and 200 MB, and the rest. The installation was carried out as standard.

I would suggest that depending on how you did your new OS install you would need to completely redo the system cache thing. Can I ask you a question why you need it? You have a SSD as your OS drive? Just interested 🙂
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I have a system installed on HD 1TB and SSD accelerates its operation.
With this solution quickly and have a large capacity and at such wants to stay.

You have your OS on the 1TB mechanical drive and you have a 128GB SSD have I understood correctly?

So, the system is a mechanical function is used for SSD "SSD Caching"

Do you think that this tool: AISuiteIII remover tool will not break my freshly installed system and will not be after using it experience any problems?
And if it helps at all, because surely the AI suite installed on a fresh system and did not do anything and SSD Caching does not work right away.

Do you think that the fault of faulty SSD Caching on a freshly installed Windows 8.1 is not the way to or installed in UEFI?

I totally do not know on what basis the SSD Caching start at boot Marvell controller sees this function. Is it interference in its firmware?

But what do you still not understand? Here is described SSD Caching technology, help yourself.

I have a specific problem that I described (not working when you turn on your PC SSD Caching), please not giving incorrect answers like: why do not I install the system on the SSD, because it is not the answer to my problem and not interested in stuffing the system and application software to 120GB surface.

dariuszd1, it is doubtful that there are many here at the forum using the configuration that you are. Most place the operating system on the SSD as the performance is better as well as the Intel Native SATA 6Gb/s ports being faster than the Marvell ports. As you do not have an issue with Windows 7 perhaps the caching software needs updating for proper operation with Win8/8.1. This would best be handled by contacting ASUS support directly for the region where you reside. Thank you.

Unfortunately, Asus said that the AI Suite software is compatible with Windows 8.1.
I know that the installation on the SSD is the fastest SSD solution but do not give such a capacity that I gain through SSD Caching.
I met someone with a similar problem and help me.

Al good my friend - you wish to have your system set up in the way you currently have it. 🙂 I am sure there are good reasons why you would want it that way, it is just that to me and to others it just seems counter intuitive to do it the way that you have.

Please remove your current system cache set up and start fresh again as per the guide you used for Windows 7 that is about all I can offer you I am sorry to say. Make sure you have the correct drivers for your new OS and follow the install instructions.

Good luck.
