Hi all,

I am having the chance to get a OC Station and i hope it will work with my Maximus VI Formula.
I readed through various Reviews and Tests on the Internet but did not find an Answer...

From what i saw the Connector on the Board seems to fit..Will it work with the Max VI Formula?

Thanks in advance.

This latest product in the Republic of Gamers (RoG) range is only compatible with the Rampage II Extreme, Rampage II Gene, and Crosshair III motherboards. Only these latest RoG motherboards have the required header for the OC Station. Asus has done a great job of making the OC Station look the part.

This is not the news you would like to hear I expect. Think a firmware update might make it compatible but with the OC panel that is not likely to happen any time at all.

About the only way I would suggest is to just try it. It is a bit old though. They have a "Front Base" coming out that might interest you more? It seems to be a updated version of the OC Station. Unless you have purchased the station. Just not sure on the actual release date for it though.

Yeah that is the OC Panel it is included with the M6E boards

Yes but there is another one they are showing off called the "Front Base". You can see them show it off in the video I posted. But they show the oc panel also and compare both them.

funny thing is:

Dear Mr. ...,

The OC Station is supported by the Motherboard ASUS Maximus VI Formula. Just connect it with the ROG_EXT on your Board.

Get the 1.03.20 driver under "Utilities" and install that. If the ASUS installer complains about the Operating system version, set compatibily options to Win7 on setup.exe

Also make sure to update its firmware to the last one.

the problem is that i cant install the driver i get always the message "ROG OC Station does not support this model"

Did you try that specific version of the driver? If that version doesn't work then I'm afraid ROG Germany was mistaken.

You can also try to install the driver manually via the device manager although that probably won't install the IO driver. But it should be fine if you have AI Suite installed. If all that doesn't work you'd have to wait for updated driver package which is something I don't see happening considering the OC Panel now exists for this purpose that supports the latest motherboards.

I'm not entirely sure that it is. My guess is that the ASUS installer simply doesn't like the motherboard.. since ASUS Germany says it's compatible. So manually installing the driver and having AI Suite installed for the IO driver should get it to work(probably not with everything functioning without a firmware update). Unless ASUS Germany is wrong or they had the OC Panel in mind instead of the OC Station.
