ASUS Mobilink Procedure Question

Man, I had this thing working at one point, but can't reproduce.

BT is working fine, can pair with computer. However, while paired, Android RC Bluetooth can't connect. While not paired, same deal. Yes, Mobilink v1.01.04 installed.

After I press ROG Connect button, ROG Connect button stays lit. Attempting to connect from Android RC Bluetooth app causes the BT light to flash, so I *know* that the RIVE is seing the handshake from the Android app, but something during that handshake makes either the RIVE or the Android app puke, evidently. Probably need to download a BT debugger, but have no experience with that protocol.

I've seen the old walkthough of the manual transfer of the app to the phone, but not a good description of 1. press this, 2. start that, 3. click here.

Do I have to have AI Suite II running (it *is* in the tray)? Love having BT, but not sure what I'm missing for RC Bluetooth. Any help appreciated. Thx!

You just need the correct bluetooth drivers installed (the same ones the CD installs) along with the latest version of Mobilink you can find.
Pair the phone (don't make media connection, not necessary for this) and then start the app on your android device.
Hit menu->Devices and choose your previously paired device.

You don't need to touch the ROG connect button at all. It's totally unnecessary and only useful for if you use the ROG connect cable + a separate computer or the OC key.

It was kind of wonky for me and didn't work immediately after installing Mobilink - a reboot was required to get the necessary service running.

Also, make sure your phone is within 2 feet or so of your computer as the bluetooth chip they put in this board is absolute pure garbage and struggles to output a signal more than that distance roughly. 🙂

Good luck!
